Lightweight Tactical Sniper Rifle with 900 Yard Range

Named the "White Feather" in honor of a famous sniper

The XM25 rifle, also known as the M25 Sniper Rifle, has been developed for the Army Special Forces and Navy Seals. Not to be confused with the XM-25 Grenade Launcher, the XM 25 rifle  is very similar to the M21. It features a M14 glass bedded barrel, fiberglass stock, uses a gas piston, and OPS suppressors. It has mounts for tactical scopes by Bausch & Lomb or Leupold & Stevens. The XM25 rifle also has been called the “Light Sniper Rifle” because of its portability and accuracy, and also the “White Feather” for Vietnam sniper Carlos Hathcock. The XM25 rifle features a rotating bolt action, is air cooled and gas operated, and has a semi-automatic rate of fire (fed from a Box Magazine with 7.62 by 51 MM NATO cartridges) with a maximum range of 900 meters. It is manufactured by the Springfield Armory and has been in service since 1991.
